Hilary joined the Gawler Town Band in 2019. She has been playing flute for 23 years, and piccolo for 18 years.
She has had experience with a broad range of musical ensembles and styles, including concert and marching bands, flute choirs, musicals, and orchestras.
Prior to joining the Gawler Town band, her top musical highlights include playing with Orchestra Nova (Newcastle, NSW) for their performances of The Planets Suite by Holst and Wagner’s Götterdämmerung, participating in the Sydney ANZAC Day parade with HSPA Marching Band, and playing flute and piccolo in stage performances of Annie, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, and Pirates of Penzance.
